I would like to thank those who came to Game Night, Zac P., Brianna G., Anna P., and Vicar Ryan.  We had a great time playing our games and eating our snacks! 

We did Check(ers) with Othello and we took a Risk but we didn’t have any Aggravation but we did go Banana(gram)s.  This is just a hint of the games we played.  Thanks for a great night!!  I’ll see you on 8/4/10 !

Alpine Church is having our Sunday Service at 10:00am and a Potluck/Ice Cream Social (in the Gym) to follow the Church Service.  Please join us for some good food, ice cream, games, entertainment, some Magic Tricks and say your good-byes to Vicar Ryan.  All are invited!  You won’t want to miss it!!

Sunday School – Who Am I?: I will be going into Kindergarten in August.  I live with my parents, sister and dog, Rosie.  My favorite Movie is “Bugs”, favorite Color is Blue, and my favorite Restaurant is Culvers.  Something funny that happened to me was that I saw a rock with a costume on it.  People are surprised to know that “I am big”.  When I grow up I want to be an Astronaut.   My initials are J.B.

 Notes:  This verse is for the Work Campers (and for us Christians).  We are to do God’s workmanship and good works for others.  God has already prepared for this in advance for us to do.  Remember that is why there is a reason for everything!!

Crossroads – Issue 13

The final results are in: Holly S. and Zac P. both got a hole-in-one at Volcano Falls (on 6/6/10).  We had a great group of young adults there.  We lasered each other in the Laser Zone, played a round of mini-golf and even went go-karting.  It was a great time!  Thanks for coming and bringing your friends.  I hope to see you next time (July 7^th)!

 Well Camp should be ending today (Friday).  I hope all the young people have found Jesus as their real “Super Hero”and learned more about the other Super-Heros of the Bible.  Don’t forget to go to 2^nd Service for Camp Sunday!!

Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you.  Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm.  Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.  Proverbs 4:25-27

These were our verses from Volcano Falls Night.  When you are trying to get that hole-in-one, you have to keep your eye on the ball and find a level path (the best way) for the ball to go.  This is just like being a Christian, we need to keep our eyes on Jesus, keep our paths level & choose the right way to go (living the Christian life like Jesus).  May your eyes be on Jesus always!!

Don’t Forget This Sunday Is:  Father’s Day!  Please honor your father but don’t forget to honor your Heavenly Father and go to Church.

Crossroads #11

God’s Global Barnyard Update:  All of you kids from Sunday School and some adults collected $560.00 in the Fish Bank.  Good Job!!  We were able to buy one school of fish, two pigs, four goats, and five chicks (set of 10 each).  All of you helped many families in many countries.  It is better to give than to receive!!  Thanks for helping God’s Global Barnyard. 

Since this newsletter goes out right after our Volcano Falls Event, I ask that you stay tuned to the next newsletter (June 25^th) for all the details of what happened, and see if anyone got a hole-in-one.  Thanks to all for coming!!  (note see some details on the website next week)

We going to have the Sunday School students share there interviews for the Youth Page.  This verse was on the website last week but I decided to keep it for this week because it is one that needs to be known.

Youth, this is one verse that parent’s should not read, memorize, or know.  But if you read Daniel 1, you would find out that if you do eat vegetables and drink water you will be healthier and better nourished than other’s that don’t.  So, please grab a veggie and enjoy.

Crossroads #10w

This newsletter is only going to be seen in the website, since there is no Summit until June 11^th. 

We had a fun time at Family Night.  We played games, made our ice cream sundaes and Joseph played his trumpet for us (in honor of Memorial Day).  Several adults and kids played Chinese Checkers for 1 ½ hours.  It was a great time.  We hope you can join us next time!!

Crossroads #9

I missed all of you this last Friday!!!  I am glad for the ones that were there!!  I hope you had as much fun as I did.  We shot some hoops and the Scooter Races were a lot of fun!! 

 I hope to see all of you on June 10^th.

Congratulations to all who are graduating from High School, 8^th Grade, 6^th Grade, and Kindergarten.  May God Bless you and your future.  Remember to keep your eyes on Jesus.  He will see you thru.

Sunday, May 23, 2010 – SUNDAY SCHOOL BREAKFAST   

Our breakfast will be at Sunrise Restaurant at 5683 Wansford Way off of Harrison.  Please make sure your parents have signed our Permission Slip and that your Sunday School teacher has it before we leave.  This is for GRADES – Kindergarten, 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd, 4^th, 5^th, and Youth Forum. **Pre-K3 & Pre-K4 Class will be staying at church for a special event.

Our breakfast will be at Sunrise Restaurant at 5683 Wansford Way off of Harrison.  Please make sure your parents have signed our Permission Slip and that your Sunday School teacher has it before we leave.  This is for GRADES – Kindergarten, 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd, 4^th, 5^th, and Youth Forum.   **Pre-K3 & Pre-K4 Class will be staying at church for a special event.

CROSSROADS #6

Even though we had a tornado watch & a thunderstorm warning out, it didn’t keep a few kids from coming to our pizza party.  I would like to thank those kids and adults that came.  I hope you all had as much fun as I did, especially with the question of the 5^th Commandment!?!  To the ones there, you know what I am talking about.  But I do hope to see more of you on the 21^st for our next event.

Saturday, MAY 15^ST – 12:00 to 1:30pm – ARTS MINISTRY

 Open to all 4^TH thru 12^TH Grade Youth & their friends.  All of your May baskets looked so cute!  All of you did a great job!!  If you have not been to an ARTS Ministry class – YOU MUST COME.  Remember to get your ideas together for VBS Crafts.  Come and see what you can make.
