Did you know..
Harold Christiansen signed to buy the land on which Alpine is built when he was secretary to the church council when he was only 19.
..Stan Stark was the General Chairman of the Building Committee.
..many, many hours of volunteer work went into the completion of the building.
..that 11 members of the council (then called Trustees) certified the building complete and they included Arthur Carter, Lowell Baxter, Lloyd Funk, Roy Fridh and Carl Brogren.
..the building was dedicated at a special service on December 6, 1959.
..Dr. O V Anderson delivered the dedication sermon for the new building.
..Mayor Benjamin Schleicher was among the dignitaries bringing greetings at the dedication service.
..44 new families joined Alpine in the first group of members received in the new building.
.. the 44 families included Linda and Roger Bastian, Phyllis and Jim Coffman, Bettie and Roger Everson, Ruth and Einor Lindgren, Kay and Gil Okeson and Karl, Jan and Don Tack.
Alpine will celebrate 50 years of fellowship, growth, and stewardship in this location at a special congregational dinner on Sunday November 8, 2009 at 5 PM.
