Dear Alpine Lutheran Family,
As we stand on the threshold of a new year, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of excitement and anticipation for what lies ahead for Alpine Lutheran Church. The opportunities before us are many, and together, as one family, we will be able to build connections, grow in faith, and serve our community in ways that will honor God and the mission of our congregation.
This year brings both change and new beginnings. As many of you know, Alpine Academy, has made the difficult decision to close. While it’s bittersweet to say goodbye to a chapter that has been an important part of our church’s story, we are also filled with hope for what this change means for us and for the wider community. The classrooms that once housed eager students are now empty, but they will soon be filled with new life, new connections, and new opportunities.
Plans are already underway to open our doors to community organizations in need of space. This will not only allow us to generate additional funds to support our budget but also provide us with the opportunity to continue serving our community in a meaningful way. Our vision is to make these spaces available for those who share in our mission of service and outreach. By sharing this space, we can create partnerships that will enrich the lives of those around us while also providing a foundation for continued growth within our church.
The transition of Alpine Academy out of our building is undoubtedly a time of change, and it’s okay to feel a sense of loss. However, it is also an opportunity for us to breathe new life into this space. We are committed to moving forward together, embracing God’s direction, and exploring how we can use this space more fully for ministry. Whether through new programs, partnerships, or community events, we are ready to let God lead us in ways that will allow us to deepen our connections with one another and the world around us.
As we embark on this journey, I encourage all of you to join us in this exciting time of renewal. I invite you to attend our Annual Meeting on February 16th, immediately following our 10:00 AM worship service. We’ll gather as one family, united in faith, as we celebrate where we’ve been and look forward to where God is taking us. This is an important moment for us to come together, share ideas, and continue to build the church we all love.
We are walking through a lot of change at Alpine this year, seeking a new Pastor to lead us, a new Music Director and now a new partnership to share in our physical space. I am proud to be a part of a congregation that is continually seeking new ways to use it’s holy currencies to serve in our community. This coming year will be no different in that way. Change in every way is difficult yet I know that at Alpine we will embrace it and become stronger from it.
Together, we are one Alpine Family in Christ, and I have no doubt that with your support, we will continue to grow, connect, and serve in ways that make a meaningful impact on both our congregation and the wider community.
Blessings to you all,
Scott Dabson
